i have an external hard drive that plugs into usb and would like to play my movies through the xbox 360 on the tv but the problem is that they need to be .wmv and they are all .avi is there a program that will convert quick

they dont need to be .wmv!
i can watch avi on my 360, all i had to do was sign into live and then play the video, it just updates and then i could watch all my films on my tv!
yeh but its for my uncle and he doesnt have live yet and has no computer so unless he gets it i need a converter, i told him to get it but he was like i dont spend that much time on it so it would be a wwaste of money

Lee, did you try just renaming it? I tried it on a video and WMP can play the renamed .WMV, so just try to rename it to video.wmv not video.avi!
