I am currently using SmartSoft Video Converter to convert avi. files to m-peg format. Does anyone know of a program (that you can download & without the, "sorry, trials only convert partially and there will be a watermark inserted in the middle of the screen"), that convert faster than SmartSoft Video Converter? It takes 45 minutes just to convert 17 percent of a 700mb movie.....

I use a mac so i'm not sure if you will be able to find this program for a windows machine. I use VisualHub and am very happy with it. It can convert files to many different formats relatively quickly. It isn't free but serial box has the serial number. Google visualhub and see if you can get it.

Why don't you try Any Video Converter. You can convert the whole movie.
