Okay here is a quick guide i made on how to split files using winrar,
it was requested and i promised to make one, so it here it is:
1) First of all you need to get the program WinRar if you dont already have it,
you can get it at www.rarlab.com , in the downloads section you need to click english to download, install and make it support all extensions, its better that way, also in the shell section make sure Integrate WinRAR to shell is checked off,
2)Ok now, you will need to find your file, im acually going to use 3 mp3's because the file size is smaller and the process will take less longer,
this is because it will take about 15 minutes with a movie,
and dont worry, the process im going to show you works with multiple/single movie files, so dont get confused,
3) so first you must select the file/s , right click, and there should be winrar options, you must click "Add to Archive" as shown in the picture

4) After clicking on "Add to Archive" a box should come up, Starting from the top, in the General tab, make sure the Archive Name is set to what ever you want,
in my case i wrote Splitting MP3's.rar <-- make sure .rar is there because if it isnt, it wont make it a .rar,
and in the bottom, where it is boxed red, make sure you set it to the size you want, you can use this site, to convert to bytes - http://www.matisse.net/bitcalc/
so for me , i want my files to be 2mb each, because the size is kind of small.
so first i have to go to the site, in the Amount section i have to write 2, and change the Units drop down to megabytes, and select calculate,
in the charts it will show me, that 2 megabytes in bytes is, 2097152
so i input that into winrar as shown,

5) After click the Advanced tab, and click the Set Password.. button on the right, enter your password, confirm it,
now you can choose to set encrypt file names, what this will do, is put the password on every file inside the archive, i dont recommend this, because its annoying for users.
so press ok after,

6)when you press ok to the password, press ok on the archive screen too,
and 2 bars will come up, the first one, is showing the percent of the current file being split , the bottom shows the whole process, i paused mine because it was going fast,
if you look, it shows you the time left and the %
the buttons under say the following, Background, Continue/Pause, Help and cancel,
If you click background, it will do the process in the background of your computer, this means that you dont have to sit there and watch the percent rise, you can do other stuff while its splitting, but i dont suggest this because your computer performance will decrease and waiting is better,
Continue/Pause, well this is obvious, if you press pause, it'll pause the process, if you press continue, it'll continue,
Help and Cancel, well we all know what that is so i wont go over that.
If the process is going to take long, example hour and you need to sleep, you can click the mode button, and check the "Turn of PC when done" option. i've never used it but you can.
here is another picture

7) when the process is done, it will look something like this:

8) Dont worry about the size, the 048kb is just windows, its acually 2mb
as you can see part 5 is only 930 KB and thats well because well its leftover, lol

9)Ok now to check we will extract the files to see if it works, *NOTE* you dont have to do this at all, im just doing it to show you how its setup

I hope this guide helps you all, if there is any problems/questions please post
