Hey guys,
I need help, I bought these DVD-R's today because I wanted to burn some movies. they have 4.7 gb of space and are - (negative). the thing is I can't burn them. I'm using Nero Burning Rom I think it's because th movies are AVI, but I'm pretty sure if i convert them they'll be twice as big. I've tried burning under "Mini DVD", "Super Video", and "Video (vcd1). When I tried on of those it said download Nero Vision Express to convert them into "ROV" and other types of that style. So if you guys or girls could help me, I would really appreciate that.

your problem is at the first part of you post
im 99.9% that your drive dont burn negatives
most dvd writers dont burn negatives...
go check out your model on a site and make sure,
i got 3 dvd writers, none write negatives, so make sure you got a dvd-+wr

That lady at the store just might get an ear full, I asked what do most DVD burners/writers write I said positive or negative she said negative. So get a DVD - AND + wr cd? Thanks Torob, or should i just get + cd's? Thanks again.

well, you can always make sure that your drive is going to write negatives
cuz some do, and it might be program failure
but if you cant tradem in and crap
well yea positives will work
you can still get the dvd job done, just get the dvd+r
they will do the same job, if space is what you need,
but something work better with negatives, like an Xbox
so its recommended to use negatives, but since none of my drives write negative i do positives,

but yea check your dvd writer site and make sure that the model you have, it can burn what you need
